Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

 

     I take great pleasure in introducing myself to everyone.  To those of you who know me, greetings and blessings to you.  To those who don't know me, my name is Matt LaPiana.  I am the Vice President of the Batavia NY chapter.  I have been active with the Sons for two years now.  I am retired and working for the Lord full time.  I am the Pastor of Church In The Wind Leroy and serve as Chaplain for the Batavia chapter as well.  Before I asked to prospect the Sons, I went to the Lord in prayer for two months.  During those two months I kept having a reoccurring dream and every night it became more and more vivid.  The Lord was directing me to join and He had plans for me.  I shared small details of my dream with my wife and my accountability partner.  Both of them were praying for me and both received the same message.  I prospected, was patched, and on my way.

 

     I am excited to announce that I have accepted the position of Store Manager.  This has been in the works for three months and is now official.  I was asked by Larry D to pray about accepting the position.  I pray before making major decisions and sometimes it takes a while for me to receive a clear answer.  I knew that this was going to be a challenge so I wanted to be 100% sure it was from God and not my flesh.  Once again, my wife, accountability partner, and myself had the same answer, I needed to take the position.  The Lord showed us that I can accomplish the task at hand with Him in the lead.  My loving wife is in full support of the decision and played a roll in helping making it.  She will be by my side and helping me accomplish God’s will.

 

     You may ask what qualifies me for the position?  I have owned two stores in the past, a chocolate shop and a Christian Book store.  Both were owned and operated by my wife Tracy and myself.  Both stores flourished and we learned a lot about retail sales.  I am a computer freak and try to make everything as simple as it can be.  I am excited what God has shown me about taking the store to the “next level”.  I do ask for you to please be patient with me, give me a little time to understand what you want, and how I can better serve you.  The Lord has given me good ideas that I will apply to help me better operate  the store.  I am open to suggestions and am working on setting up my e-mail account.  Please feel free to drop me an e-mail with your suggestions.  I am here to serve you, my brothers and sisters, and I want to do it as effectively and efficiently as possible. 

 

     I want to thank Larry D for the opportunity to serve this club and for having the faith in me to do it.  I also want to thank  Retro for his years of excellent service and for helping me during the transition.  Thanks to my prospect zman for making the trip to Florida with me to get the trailer.  To all my brothers and sisters Thank You for allowing me to serve you.  Most of all, Thank You God for giving me clear and direct direction.

 

     I look forward to meeting everyone and I am ready to serve you.  God Bless all of you and may He shine His love and peace on you and your families.
